Daniel Schwartz - Artistic Director
Dan Schwartz began his musical studies with piano lessons at age seven. He soon took up jazz drumming, and by thirteen was studying classical percussion with Susan Jones, principal timpanist of the Pennsylvania Ballet; in high school, he took on both trumpet and voice lessons. From 2005 to 2009, Dan attended Temple University, studying percussion with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra. At Temple, he also took voice lessons with retired Metropolitan Opera baritone David Arnold and received several undergraduate scholarships for his achievements. After receiving his Bachelor's degree, he was accepted into Temple University’s Master’s Program for Choral Conducting. Upon his graduation in 2011, Dan was honored with the Elaine Brown Award for musicianship, dedication to excellence, and humanitarianism. In addition to serving as the Artistic Director and Conductor of PVOP, he sings with The Crossing and also serves on their Artistic Committee.
Ting Ting Wong - Accompanist
Ting-ting Wong is a collaborative pianist and vocal coach residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has served as assistant conductor with ConcertOPERA Philadelphia and chorus pianist with Opera Philadelphia. In addition, she has been recently appointed as one of the pianists at the Academy of Vocal Arts. She is the accompanist for The Jefferson University Singers, T-Voce, Singing City Children's Choir and the Arcadia University choir. Last but not least, she is the music director at Newtown Square Presbyterian Church.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ting Ting holds two masters degrees: one in piano performance from Carnegie Mellon University (where she also earned a piano pedagogy certificate), and one in piano accompanying and coaching from Temple University, where she studied with Mr. Lambert Orkis and Dr. Charles Abramovic.
